En inglés hay combinaciones de dos palabras llamadas contracciones. Por lo general están formadas por un verbo y un pronombre. No obstante, no todos los verbos pueden formar parte de una contracción.

Las formas verbales que forman contracciones en inglés son: have, has, is, are, am, would and will.
